A CHAMINADE FAMILY MAGAZINE
Chaminade News is distributed seasonally to on average 9,000 people. Alumni, parents, and donors who receive this magazine get an inside look at what’s happening on and off campus, while also learning more about the journey of a Chaminade man. Each issue has a theme that all of the articles follow. Since Fall 2022, I have been the sole designer working on this project. I am in charge of collecting images that fit each article, laying out each spread, and communicating with our off-site printer. I also keep in touch with different department directors to ensure that all content is accurate and engaging.

The summer issue of Chaminade News is known for highlighting important events and announcements. This issue covers the annual Golf and Tennis Open, the 2024 graduating class, the Athletic Awards Reunion. It is set to come out right as the new school year starts so all incoming students and their families can immerse themselves in all things Chaminade. This issue is also import to showcase the importance of our alumni and their impact on Chaminade’s legacy. Attendees of Chaminade’s October Open House will receive this issue in their welcome package.

I took over being the sole responsibility of our seasonal magazine in Fall 2022, 3 months after starting my job at Chaminade. Since then I have designed 8 different issues. The 2024 Summer issue, is our first issue with our latest rebrand. This is just the start of many changes that will occur at Chaminade over the next 5 years as they approach their 100th anniversary. The branding has gone from a more playful aesthetic to a more elegant and minimalistic style. Spreads from previous issues can be found in the slideshow below.
