CHAMINADE PROFILES
ADMISSIONS, SCHOOL, AND ACCEPTED STUDENTS DAY PROFILES
Profiles are used to sum up the Chaminade experience into one booklet. The School Profile, Admissions Profile, and Accepted Students’ Day Profile are given out at different events throughout the school year. I have the sole responsibility of designing and editing all three of these projects while also keeping in contact with each department. With the information I am given, it is my job to design visually appealing spreads that help the viewer process the facts and figures. Communication is vital while working on these projects since each spread focuses on a different aspect of our school. Constant discussion is necessary to ensure that each page uses accurate copy and that my design effectively portrays the department’s message. The profiles are my favorite projects to work on since I can challenge myself on each spread to captivate the viewer as they take in all of the perks that come along with being a student at Chaminade High School.
ADMISSIONS PROFILE
The Admissions Profile is created to hand out to perspective students during Chaminade’s October Open House. While seventh and eighth graders are on tours with their families, the tour guide will direct them to open certain pages as the approach different parts of campus. The booklet was made to answer most questions families could have about the school. They can take the booklet home and it could potentially help the student and their family decide on what high school they should apply to.
SCHOOL PROFILE
The School Profile is designed during the summer before the academic school year begins. This profile is distributed throughout different departments and to members of our faculty. It is helpful for new hires to get a glimpse of life at Chaminade. The brochure can also be used by faculty to answer quick questions and to pass out to prospective new students who schedule a personal tour before October’s Open House.
ACCEPTED STUDENTS DAY PROFILE
The Accepted Students Day Profile is the largest in-depth profile. This booklet is given out to students who were accepted to attend Chaminade High School. The students are invited back to the school to tour one more time before they make their final decision on where they will attend high school in the fall. This profile is distributed in January and is the last profile given out in the academic year. Within half a year, I create all of 3 of these profiles while also designing 2 seasonal issues of Chaminade News and smaller weekly projects.
